Hare Krishna.
Today Santi Vardhana Caitanya dasa, Gokul Damodara dasa, Satsvarupa and me attended a one full day CIDB seminar mostly related to the subject of safety on construction sites. Though we had to take the course mainly to comply with government regulations for those of us who frequent the temple construction site, nevertheless many of what was taught and presented can very much be applied in our daily lives and useful for ISKCON temple leaders and managements. ISKCON temples are very much crowd gathering places and where safety should be given top priority.
Back to updates on the construction, we are pleased to report that almost all Pile Caps have been concreted. Formwork for ground beams are now being done. Columns will come up in the coming week. The Octagon outline is beginning to be seen. Appended below are pictures.

From Kuching to Bukit Mertajam to Kuala Lumpur to Rengam, Lord Jagannatha conitnues showering His mercy.

Lord Jagannatha Chariot festivals were celebrated in the month of June in Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Mertajam and Rengam. His name Jagannatha, Lord of the Universe is certainly meaningful. Though in the town of Puri, Lord Jagannatha sits on His own huge chariot and is certainly not only accepted but also seen in His huge form as Lord of the Universe, He nevertheless is so merciful that He accepts modest arrangements for His festival outside Puri. The first time the Festival of Chariots was performed outside of India was on July 9, 1967 in San Francisco. Srila Prabhupada , the Founder-Acarya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) personally organised and supervised the festival. A flatbed truck was converted into a chariot. Srila Prabhupada wanted that there should be chanting of the holy names of Lord Krishna all through the procession, prasadam distribution and of course everyone to get the special mercy of the darshan of Lord Jagannatha.
