On 23 August about 30 the ISKCON Malaysia National Council members and some guest devotees were at the Riverstone Resort, Ulu Yam, Selangor at 11AM to hear and see a presentation on Varnasrama Rural Development by His Holiness Bhakti Raghava Maharaj. HH Bhakti Raghava Maharaj has done extensive studies on the subject of Varnasrama Dharma and is travelling around the world encouraging and establishing Varnasrama Village Communities.
The presentation on Varnasrama Dharma could not have been at a better venue. The Riverstone Resort does not provide electric current. Specially for seminars the resort management runs a generator and provides electricity for the multipurpose hall. Otherwise all rooms are without electricity. The open multipurpose hall is on a foothill and there was no need to run the fans since there was a natural cool breeze from 11AM to about 5PM. We definitely recommend all of ISKCON's meeting to be held in this venue. It has mode of goodness built in. After Maharaja's presentation Radha Raman Prabhu, Chairman of ISKCON Kluang made a presentation on Gobar gas (fuel gas from cow dung) followed by Bhakt Perkash on National Youth Convention. It was also resolved that a Varnashrama [Feasibility Study] Research Committee was formed with HG Sri Radharamana as Coordinator. Members are HG Goloka Candra pr, HG Caitanya Hari pr, Krishna Nama Yajna pr, and HG Rasikananda pr.
