Good news- We are pleased to inform your good self that we have received approval for 12 skilled South Indian artisans to begin ornamental works for the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple of Devotion & Understanding building project at Seberang Jaya, Prai, Penang. Three more artisans are expected to also be given the work permit approval soon.
Preliminary Rites for Ornamental Works - Temple project comittee members together with Sriman Damodaran Sthapaty, his partners Sriman Satish and Sriman Raj Kumar were at the projet site from 8.30AM to 11.00AM on 11 July to conduct the preliminary rites before full force ornamental work begins in early August.
At 8.30AM ISKCON Ipoh Chairman and Samskara priest HG Para Brahma dasa adhikary conducted a yajna seeking from Their Lordships Sri Sri Radha Krishna and Their energies' blessings for the safety and smooth progress of the ornamental works.

The BBT Malaysia did a count of total books distributed from 1 January to 30 June, 2010. Appended is the result of book distribution according the categories for the whole of Malaysia.
East Malaysia is a big land area. Sarawak state by itself is bigger than the whole of West Malaysia. And there is Sabah. But it is not impossible for HG Kripa Sindhu Krishna dasa prabhu to preach in these areas. He makes it a point to travel to these areas and preach the message of Lord Krishna.
Come August 14 will be the annual Kuching Ratha Yatra. And this time the event will even be more special with the official opening of the ISKCON Kuching 7000 sq ft multipurpose hall. Kripa Sindhu Krishna dasa prabhu practically single handedly took the responsibility to put up the multipurpose hall. He is still in need of about RM150,000-00 to complete the hall. Please consider doing your part.
ISKCON Governing Body Commissioner, HH Bhanu Maharaj and the Deputy Minister of Works, YBDatuk Yong Khoon Seng will jointly inaugurate the annual Jagannatha Chariot Festival and offcially open the new multipurpose hall on the same evening. YB Datuk Yong Khoon Seng has already presented a RM50,000-00 government grant for the building project and said that he hopes to assist with more funds.

About 140 devotees from West Malaysia have already booked their flights to attend the festival.
Adventurous youths can stay back a couple of days after the July 3 Brinchang, Cameron Highlands Ratha Yatra and try a 4.7 KM mountain climb (Brinchang mountain down to Irau Mountain and back). Posted are some photos of a climb which Sevananda prabhu, Chandru, their sons and me did on 8 July 2009. We guarantee satisfaction for those taking the challenge. Best for groups to be in 8-12 numbers. One regular climber whom we met on our way back told us that for each climb he adds 5 years to his life. But I think those who have weak heart or sensitive to change of air pressure will need to take expert medical advice before taking the adventure.
What is the Krishna conscious perspective one may ask? I would say appreciation of Lord Krishna's nature while chanting your way up and down the mountains.
