Update: The title above is irrelevant now as the temple has started construction ever since April 27 ground breaking ceremony!

Civil & Structural and Sculptural Works contractors appointed

Temple Architect, Consultants and Tender Board interviewing a contractor at the BCC's Gauranga conference room.

 On Gaura Purnima March 11, The Sri Sri Radha Krishna “Temple of Devotion & Understanding” Tender Board Committee after a concluding interview with the final two bidders unanimously approved M/s SH Butterworth Sdn. Bhd. to be appointed the Contractor for Civil & Structural Works for both the temple and the multipurpose hall.

Mr Law Ah Lean the Managing Director of SH Butterworth Sdn. Bhd. received the Letter of Award on March 12, coinciding with Jagannatha Misra feast day at the Bhaktivedanta Cultural Centre (BCC) Seberang Jaya. Both buildings costing RM3,170,000.00 will take a total of 52 weeks for completion.

Similarly for ornamental works, after many interviews Damodaran Sthabathy from Tamilnadu was seen competent by the Tender Board. On March 27, the holy festival of Ugadi, Sriman Damodaran received the Letter of Intent and will soon receive the Letter of Award. Ornamental works for the temple will cost RM1,615,518.00 and take a total of 78 weeks to complete.

The Tender Board will next interview successful bidders for Mechanical and Electrical works.

The temple committe is very indebted to M/s Kooi Keat Architect, M/s Alkay Consultancy (C&S) and M/s Han Yang Consultancy Sdn Bhd. (M&E) for offering their services free of charge.
