Dear Devotees and Well Wishers, Hare Krishna. Please accept my humble obeisances and greetings. All glories to Srila Prabhupada. All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga. All glories to Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Sri Sri Radha Krishna. When ISKCON initiated this project one of the first things that was done was to get a Vastu Architect & Consultant to investigate the property we purchased. We then invited Dr. B.L. Sharma, a Vastu Architect and Consultant from Jaipur, India who generously offered free services and who actually mentioned that the land we purchased was "Godsent". He said the land has good Vastu and instructed accordingly. So our first layout and plans were based on B.L. Sharma. The original plan was to do the project in 2 phases. At the southwest we planned a massive structure for halls, offices, conference rooms, dwelling, etc. And in front facing northeast as planned a ground level temple. But due to considerations of practicalities and keeping vastu in consideration plans were amended so that the project be done in 3 Phases. Phase 1 would then become easy to tackle and we could start functioning at our site immediately. So the plans changed and so it was Phase 1 (now the Bhaktivedanta Cultural Centre), Phase 2 (Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple) and Phase 3 (Multipurpose Hall). And then came another improvement, taking the advice of our ISKCON leaders. The temple designed was changed and the plan we have now is that the temple will be on the same location but will now be on the first floor. And a direction which is never controversial, the Deities will now face east. Another change is the temple will be built octagon shaped still complying to Vastu and maintaining almost all the same features and spaces of the previous design. The ground floor will be used for temporary hall for serving prasadam, devotional paraphernalia counters, etc and for devotional exhibits. The temple will also have 13 ornate pavilions all around the temple to house the main ten avatars of Lord Krishna and the three presiding deities. while circumbulating the temple devotees can also have darshan of the ten avatars. Appended below are more pages on technical aspects of the temple. Location of Site and Lay out of site and its respective phases. An artist Impression of the Sri Sri Radha Krsna Temple
